OMEGA first introduced the Seamaster 300 in 1957 – it was a watch designed especially for divers and professionals who worked underwater. More than half a century later, the timepiece makes a comeback in a completely upgraded and enhanced form, ready for a new generation of adventurers.
This Seamaster 300 has a sand-blasted black dial with rhodium-plated hands coated with “vintage” Super-LumiNova. The ceramic bezel has a Liquidmetal™ diving scale. The 41 mm stainless steel case is presented on a brown leather strap.
A transparent caseback makes it possible to see the anti-magnetic OMEGA Master Co-Axial calibre 8400 within.
Calibre Omega 8400: Self-winding movement with Co-Axial escapement. Resistant to magnetic fields greater than 15,000 gauss. Free sprung-balance with silicon balance spring, two barrels mounted in series, automatic winding in both directions. Bridges and the oscillating weight are decorated with exclusive Geneva waves in arabesque.
FEATURES
Anti-Magnetic: The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).
Automatic Watch: A self-winding watch or automatic watch uses a mechanical movement whose main spring is wound automatically by the natural motion of the wearer’s arm.
Chronometer: Label given to a watch which has undergone precision tests and received a certificate from an official body (COSC).
Screw-In Crown: Self-locking crown, screwed into the tube of the case, used for highly water resistant divers’ watches.
Transparent Case Back: A transparent case back – frequently made of sapphire – makes it possible to see the movement inside the watch.
Unidirectional Rotating Bezel: A bezel which turns in only one direction. Particularly useful for divers who cannot accidentally rotate it in the wrong direction, which could cause them to miscalculate their dive times. A rotating bezel makes it easy to measure elapsed time.
