For more than 150 years, the Junghans brand has stood for quality, reliability and pure emotion. Originally established in 1861 in Schramberg, Germany, the company went on to be the biggest watch and clock manufacturer in the world at the time, with over 3,000 employees producing over three million timepieces a year.
From the 1930s and onwards, Junghans began to fit movements of their own design and manufacture into wristwatches. At the beginning of the 1950s, Junghans long-standing relationship with Max Bill formed, and with it, the Junghans Max Bill kitchen clock took its place in the brands illustrious history.
