A 60th Anniversary tribute to one of three classic timepieces released in 1957, this Railmaster, limited to 3,557 pieces, is based on the original antimagnetic watch designed for those working close to electrical fields. It retains the 1957 model’s unpretentious style, but is powered by the Master Chronometer 8806 which can resist magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss.
In common with all three watches in the Trilogy, it is cased in brushed and polished stainless steel and features a black ‘tropical’ dial, with vintage recessed indexes filled with Super-LumiNova.
The stainless steel bracelet has been updated for strength and features a retro-style OMEGA logo on the clasp.
Calibre Omega 8806: Self-winding movement with a Co-Axial escapement. Certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. Free sprung-balance with silicon balance spring, automatic winding in both directions. Special luxury finish with rhodium-plated rotor and bridges with Geneva waves in arabesque.
Anti-Magnetic: The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).
Automatic Watch: A self-winding watch or automatic watch uses a mechanical movement whose main spring is wound automatically by the natural motion of the wearer’s arm.
Chronometer: Label given to a watch which has undergone precision tests and received a certificate from an official body (COSC).
Limited Edition (3,557): A series of watches whose production run is determined in advance of production and limited to a set number.
Master Chronometer Certified: Guaranteeing the Swiss industry’s highest standard of precision, performance and magnetic-resistance, as set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).
